🐾 About McMarly Goldens
McMarly Goldens is the realization of a lifelong passion for Golden Retrievers, founded by Amy and Mike McKay. Our entire family, including our 18-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter, is deeply involved in raising and caring for our canine family members.
A Legacy of Love
Our love affair with Goldens began in 1998 with Toby, our very first Golden. He started a lifelong devotion to the breed for us. A few years later, we welcomed Maggie Moo. Maggie was the most intelligent and faithful companion, a gentle soul who diligently watched over our young children for 14.5 amazing years. She exemplified what a truly great family friend and protector a Golden can be.
Our Breeding Journey Begins
In 2019, we welcomed our third Golden, Emmy, into our home. Emmy is a quiet, sweet, English-bred retriever who loves swimming and is friendly to all animals—she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body.
Emmy is where our breeding journey began.
The McMarly Commitment to Health
We take immense pride in the health of our dogs. This is the McMarly Difference.
We health test all our breeding dogs extensively through OFA for hips, elbows, heart, and eyes. Furthermore, we DNA test our dogs to ensure they are clear of any genetic disorders. This comprehensive testing commitment means we are confident you are getting the healthiest possible puppy.
.
At McMarly Goldens, we strive to share the incredible companionship, intelligence, and unwavering loyalty that our Golden Retrievers have to give.
This is us back in 2000 with Toby.

Ginny is our newest addition to our breeding program. She comes from a line of champion field dogs. Ginny lives to retrieve just about any thing you’re willing to throw for her. She’s just about to discover the water as summer draws near and we head to the lake. She is your typical golden always by your side and some times found laying on your foot so she knows if you’re going to leave the kitchen without her.
